a BAD month

Nothingz worse than this past month. I got bruised in school, got hit on the head by a classmate, and got terminated by the horrible school. And today I am down with stomach flu.

Mummy looked at me and asked, 'Are u disappearing?' I hope I am not.

I am losing so much weight Mummy is wondering if they are even feeding me at school.

Ahh.. terrible end to this year. But December seems hopeful. New school, new friends, no more exams for Mummy and hopefully, the nightmare ends and I put on weight and things get better.

For now, my tummy still aches. But I dun think its as bad as how Mummy's heart aches.

The Miracle of God

So many things happened in the past month - I had unexplained bruises again, scratches on the face and things were really turning very ugly.

For one, school became really scary. And I come home everyday to tell my mother that I dont want to go to school and that school is really scary.

And so, somehow, we are thankful, that although things turned out a little ugly and that mummy made new enemies again (because of me?), there seemed to be light at the end of the tunnel.

Somehow we are reminded that when one door closes on us, another opens to new opportunities and experiences. Things happen for a reason. Though the process could be painful, I think it's part of growth, on my part, and on mummy's part.

I hope nothing drastic happens within the next month before I change a new school environment. And Mummy, all the best for your exams. Thanks for shouldering so much and braving through it all just for me. And sorry for hurting u. I really love u.

"I dont love you"

And amidst all the trouble i got in school, I had to tell my mom that I dont love her anymore.

"I love Daddy. Mummy go away."

Shes been pretty strong trying to juggle everything - school, home, us and really everything. Too strong perhaps.

It's time to tell her that I've had enough and she can get out of my life.

I am not changing my mind.

"I dont love u Mummy"

3.5yrs

I love my brother and i kiss him left right centre and legs. Yes I love his elephant-like legs and I lick them and kiss them every single day.

Oh I am 3.5 yrs and I just celebrated my 4th children's day over the last weekend. I have fewer presents now (though I am left with 8 more celebrations) because the only people who remember to celebrate it with me are my teachers and my parents (and no longer others).  Daddy n mummy brought me to Polliwogs and I had such a good time that I had to throw a tantrum when I came home. WHoops. Tantrums are part of my life now, contrary to Mummy's expectations of a fine young todd.

At 3.5, I am still depending on others to feed me (so that I wont dirty the floor). I am still drinkin milk from the bottle (so that I could model to my didi how to hold the bottle). I am still using diapers at night (so that my parents would still think I am a baby). I am still wanting to  be carried when we go out (so that I can help my parents train their arm muscles). I also hate vegetables (so Daddy can give up converting me to a vegetarian like him) and i eat only fish n eggs (because they make me smart). I sleep poorly and wake up often at night (so that I can check that Daddy is beside me and mummy is looking after Didi in the other room). Oh.. and I drool like no tmr (to tempt my parents to put a bib on me).

Sounds like a pretty exasperating 3.5 isnt it? Nah, I am enjoying the best moment of my life! No homework, no enrichment, plenty of TV and tantrums control adults n I get my way! Life's good!

Another accident in school

Enough to drive Mummy crazy.

Yes, the school was found negligent in their care and so... well..

Mummy is still feeling guilty that the teacher got ticked off because of this. But the safety of the kids in school should not be compromised, she says.

Sigh. Okay, I will promise not to fight with my friends anymore.

Promise.

Conversations

Here are some conversations between Mummy and I, and sometimes Popo, that tickle mummy a lot!

Conversation A (while hving dinner, popo asks me if I wan egg or chicken):

Popo:你要吃鸡还是蛋?
Me: 我要吃鸡蛋!!
PoPo: ........

Conversation B

Mummy: Who is pretty? Is Mummy pretty?
Me: No.
Mummy: Then who is pretty!?
Me: Coey!!

(Coey is my 'girlfriend' in school)

Conversation C
Popo: 不可以把水壶的带子挂在颈项!会死死的!
Me: Oh.. 死死means cannot see Coey already..?
Popo & Mama: .......

Conversation D:
Daddy: Go sleep already Gabriel its very late...
Me: I dont like Daddy..Daddy go out do housework
Daddy: ....
Mummy: Why u dun like Daddy?!
Me: Because Gabriel want to see Mummy and Didi next door Daddy hurt Gabriel's hand
Daddy: ....

(Refering to an incident that happened a month back before the conversation, where I was at the door trying to see Mummy putting DIdi to bed and Daddy accidentally injured my finger at the hinge by closing the door)

My Didi and I

My didi is quite cute and I like to wake up each morning to look for him and play with him.

I like to command him to sit where I want him to sit and to do what I want him to do, including him stopping his cries.

I also like to say ' Didi is a food I want to eat Didi'.

Yeah. Dont u think my Didi look yummilicious??!!

Anyway I hope he will grow up soon so Mummy can stop carrying him all the time and spend more time cuddling me instead (though i know she's already trying very hard to).

Sick again...

I am down with cold again. Is this the fifth or sixth time this year.

:( The only consolation -- I get to go to PoPo's house and play and not go to the school which I kind of dread.. I like teacher Sara and that's pretty it and thus I have decided to stop napping at school and during which I disturb my friends. I also get into trouble many times in school as I start to hit my friends with toys or draw their faces with pens or pencils. Going to the Principal's office is quite a thrill for me these days.

Oh well.

Mummy seems pretty upset by all these - me getting sick and me getting into trouble.

Perhaps this is the terrible THREES, right after the terrible twos.

Hang in there mummy. I promise not to kill anyone in the time being..

Whoops =x

return of hfmd :(

School found out that i am down with this dreadful disease yesterday during screening n i was sent home immediately...
Although it didnt hit me as hard as it did the first time round, i was still very much affected by the symptoms..especially when i hven really recovered from flu... n half the time daddy n mummy were busy scolding me as i was putting my hands in the mouth n spreading my mucus everywhere..

And so.. i decided i wanted to seek refuge at popo's hse instead n asked to go there for the nite..
As usual mummy was devastated n cried nonstop at her inability to care for both me n  didi at the same time... n shes now calling me from home every 2 hrs... -_-""

I hope i get well soon. its a ten day mc from school!!

my family

guess which is me, my mommy, daddy n didi?? :)

I'm sick, again.

I m down with flu again and this is the third time i am sick this year. Was down with bad cold during cny, had stomach flu two weeks ago and now am sneezing nonstop and running a fever. What hurts most amidst all the dripping mucus and sneezes is that mummy cant be with me on my bed to pat me and take care of me through the night, as she had always done in the past. Shes feeling extremely upset and guilty about it and keeps kissing n hugging me, hoping to make up for it. Well, mummy i do understand that didi needs u more now n that we cant hv me pass the virus to him too. Its little moments like this that make mummy wonder if its worth the trouble having more kids. Hrmmm i guess its just a phase, sending her on guilt trips. Hopefully things get better when didi grows up! Didi, quick learn to talk n walk!!

My Didi and I

It's 5 weeks since Didi Gareth came back home.

From hitting his head to lamenting that Mummy only loves Didi and not me, I've grown to love my little brother a lot. I look for him once i come back from school, give him a kiss and a hug once I've gotten my hands washed, and still keep asking if Didi can walk already.

But like Mummy says, Didi can only cry, and cry he really can,  loudly too.

Anyways, I know Mummy still loves me very very much. She comes into the room and gives me a goodnight kiss each night after Didi sleeps. Yes, Mummy no longer sleeps with me, but she still looks for me first thing in the morning and gives me a morning kiss and hug.

Mummy says when Didi is grown up (like me), I'll get to sleep together with Didi. Am looking forward to that.

Meanwhile, I am really hoping Didi can walk and talk, soon.

I'm 3!

I'm 'finally' 3 years old!
Had two celebrations this year.. one at home and another in school.
Mummy couldnt bring me to the zoo like she did the past two birthdays, as she's still doing her confinement at home. Nonetheless, I had fun and was delighted (and yummified) by the nice cakes Daddy and Mummy bought for me.

And so I'm 3 and I'm a BIG korkor now!! :))

Converations with Mummy

Every morning, I ask mummy the same thing:

Me: Didi can walk already?

Mummy: I wish Didi can run too...

Me: ?? So can Didi walk already??

Mummy: ....

Every evening, I ask Mummy the same thing when I lie on the bed with her:

Me: Meimei coming out of tummy?

Mummy: ..... Sorry no more meimei.. you have a Didi and that's enough, right?

Me: So meimei coming out of tummy?

Mummy: ..... You can have god sister if u wan...

Me: .....

I wish I have a meimei, and that Didi can walk already so he can play with me and dun need to be cuddled so close to Mummy every single hour....

It's My Birthday Today!

It's a special day for me, for I have to be in school even though it's my birthday.

Oh well, Mummy says I would have to go to school (and work) next time even on this special day, so I might as well start young.

Mummy used to bring me to the zoo on my birthday but she is unable to this year. She promised she will bring me to the zoo again when she can. I hope so!

And so, I shall have a lovely celebration in school later, and I had a mini celebration at home yesterday.

And now that I'm 3, I am no longer a baby even though I still chew on my pacifier when I sleep and have to drink milk using the bottle. I am a big boy and a big brother (although sometimes I cry and tell Mummy that I am still a small boy -- hoping that she will treat me like how she's treating didi now -- i.e. lots of carrying around and doing everything for didi). I am able to talk better although my 'one' is still 'waah' and I mispronounce a thousand of other words.

Thankful for each day and every single thing that makes me smile! Cheers to many good years ahead (and thanks to mummy for giving birth to me 3 years back :))

I'm a Brother :)

Me n Didi Gareth

Life's a bit chaotic now...

But i still look forward to kissing didi in the morning n when i come bk from school.

The only problem is I've gotta share Mummy with another being now n thats very tough... haiz...

Hope didi can grow up quickly n wont need to be hooked on Mummy for milk every hour soon.. n that i can have mummy bring me to school and carry me!! Didi, quick grow up!!

It's One more Month to my BD!

This is Mummy and Me and I have her all to myself for the past 2 ++ years. And she's gone on leave so we could sleep till 8am for once and slowly pace to school each morning without her getting grouchy and hurrying me off to finish my milk (and making me cry in frustration). Life's been pretty good this two days. But alas, it's gonna change again in the next weeks.
Things are going to be very different when I am 3 - and I will be 3 soon.
Didi is coming out soon (so says Mummy) and soon is very soon. Like today, tmr, the day after tmr, this week or perhaps the next.
While Mummy articulates her nightmares about labour (huh?), pains, things she cannot do after giving birth, her plans for me while she's in hospital, her special transition support plan for me and what not, I am having some anxieties about having a new sibling in the family. And hence, i throw temper tantrums every other day, just to attract some attention.
I know Mummy always says she's having a little baby just for me so I would have a playmate. But I wonder which is better - having Mummy (and Daddy, and the world) all to myself, or having a playmate who would snatch my toys and not listen to me. Hrmmm..
Anyways, there's probably no turning back. I would be a brother when I'm 3. Or pretty soon. Like very very soon. Hahaha.
But Mummy says she will continue to love me very very much. I hope so!

Pui.

Mummy is very upset. She has no idea where nonsense superstitions about pregnant women causing bad luck to people who touch them, or even more ridiculously, being banned from entering a room or touching belongings just because shes expecting come from.

She got it when she was expecting me and shes very upset and disappointed by it. And just 7 wks away from her edd and thinking she wouldnt need to be reminded of such nonsense, she was slapped right in her face with such silly untrue reminders today.

It probably hurts coz i see mummy very troubled, upset and disapppointed the whole day.

I think whoever came up with such superstitions must hv been deluded by their crazy thoughts their whole life. They will nv be truly happy, hvg to always purposely avoid pregnant people or think of ways to counter the 'bad luck'. Jus wait till they r pregnant themselves n hv people avoid them like a disease. And hv they ever thought of the time they were also in their mummy's tummies? How would they feel
When people were to have avoided them coz of those silly superstitions.

Pui. Pui.

I guess those who hurt the most are those whom u nv thought would do pui pui things to u.

My classmates and I

Oh, and my teachers. And with this class foto, mummy could so identify with the kids whom I name as my attackers, likes and dislikes.

And obviously there's some reason I am surrounded by all girls. I told Mummy I like the two beside me and the one beside me was the one who gave me those nasty bites. Grrrr.

But nothing she (or the teachers) could do anyway. It's jus... 'child's play' in the eyes of the teachers, no matter how serious Mummy deems it.

So I guess for now, and for a while more, I will be 'stuck' with all the people in the pic above.

And it pains Mummy when she asks who I like most in school.

My favourite response would be - Gabriel.

...

My Cousins and I

We are all delivered by the same man, same doctor, someone who calls himself a gynaecologist and earns big money from my family.

We've all grown, haven't we?!

It's growing BIGGER

Not me, but Didi!
Mummy is 32 weeks pregnant now.
Didi is likely to 'appear' in 6-8 weeks time.
Time is running out and Mummy is trying her best to provide me with 'transition support' while grappling with bad backaches, pelvic pains and battling all the viruses I bring back home from school. Since Christmas, I've been sick TWICE!

Anyways, I am going to cherish the next 6-8 weeks that I have with everyone in the family and their sole attention on ME! Life's going to be very different, SOON! Hopefully it's a good thing!

Bob the Builder.. Can u fix it?

Mummy and Daddy are pretty amazed at what I think Bob can do.

The aircon broke down two weeks ago and Mummy said Bob will fix it the night after. And truly the night after, the aircon worked. I didnt see Bob in action though.

And this was what happened yesterday:

Mummy: Gab, ur pacifiers are spoilt. See, they have broken at the teats.

Me: Ask Bob builder fix tutu pls?

Mummy: .... Tutu spoil already. Bob the builder also cant do anything...

Me: Bob builder fix it?

Mummy: .....

And just before bedtime, Mummy reminded me again:

Mummy: Gab, Jim Jam channel is no longer in transmission. So when you wake up tmr, there would be no fireman Sam and Oswald and Thomas the Train

Me: ASk Bob builder fix channel?

Mummy:...........

Bob the builder...where are you?!!
